We recently hooked up with Parrot Hope Sanctuary, which is the only parrot rescue group that we've come across in NE Ohio.  After meeting and talking to a lot of good people who do a lot of good work with birds, we decided to take on a foster bird.  Her name is Sky (a name I really don't like at all) and she is an Orange Winged Amazon.  She's about 30 years old and is very shy, and she's going to take a lot of work to make sociable.  She is very scared of human hands right now, but she really wants to be with people, and she's already settling in nicely. 

In other news, I got a call about a job, a short pre-interview.  They seemed interested, and talked about scheduling an interview soon.  I am hopeful, because it would be a very good gig in a lot of ways.  Until I hear more, no details for this rag besides that the job is in a place that has a sunnier climate. 

In still other, yet oddly related news, it's the sixth of the month, and our account is already completely fucking empty.  Well, we only have to get to the 15th.... nevermind that I leave for Boston early in the morning on the 14th.  And our dryer is still fucking broken.

I'm told this financial thing gets better with "real" jobs.  Hopefully, I don't have to work much harder than I am now for this potential 400% pay raise, or I'm totally and utterly fucked at life.
