Okay, I know why I do. I come into work early on certain days so I can get my shit together and get work done. On these days, I ride in with Amy, who works in Kent at 7:00 am. This means I am at work by 6:45. I always hate myself.
Today, I hate myself for another reason. Partially because I've gotten up so early this morning, the lunch I packed today is only just enough for lunch. Now, here it is, 7:15 now, and I'm about to eat that lunch because I am so hungry, even though I know that it will just make me hungrier at 2:00.
The good news in all of this is the situation with my payroll at Stark. I took over substituting for the guy down there on February 12, well more than a month ago. I began to get concerned though this month on the 15th when I didn't get a paycheck from that campus as I was supposed to. Upon further investigation (and a visit with a very embarrassed associate dean of the campus, who handles these things) they found that they had neglected to pay me twice, once on February 28 and once on March 15. So, what they're going to do is throw them together with March 30's paycheck, giving me essentially a quadruple (if you include Kent's pay) check. That should be pretty nice, and will enable us to fix Virgil, pay for San Francisco, and (HOPEFULLY) buy a dryer.
I'm getting pretty sick of hanging up clothing, picking off lint, and wearing half-dry clothes to work. Nothing makes you feel slimier. Well, maybe slime does.
Today's going to be exciting. There's a reason I came in early, like I said. I have a tremendous amount to do. I have to input some quiz grades, write a pop quiz, write an exam study guide, study for a sociology exam (and this is a must since I only got a B+ on the last one), and find a way to pirate a library DVD that's due back this afternoon, so I can show it in Africa class after Spring Break.
Oh, I also have to take said sociology exam, which last time took nearly two hours. I like written exams, but that's a little excessive. I would do better to have a computer, because after about 40 minutes straight of writing, my hand begins to have serious pain. I know, it's my LAST written-essay class....
Okay, so now that I've shamelessly used my blog to wake up my brain, and get my mind off of eating peanut butter sandwiches and chips/salsa at 7:24, I'm going to call it quits and get to work.
Wish me luck...
