We figured out that the Volvo's only going to cost about $160, which is VERY encouraging. I expected maybe something three times more. Problem is, when it was done was after 4:00 in the afternoon, and the place, more than an hour's drive from Kent, closed at 5:00. Even if we'd had a ride to go get it, we wouldn't have had time.
Pedro's brakes were a problem in the brakeline and perhaps a rear cylinder, which weren't what he our mechanic had fixed lately. That will be an amount of money (maybe a couple hundred) as well. Of course, that car is not going to be ready until tomorrow.
Now, we're in the somewhat awkward position of potentially imposing on Amy-and-Kory-Amy's hospitality for a second straight night. The dogs and critters at our house are currently being watched by our petsitter. I feel really bad about imposing on her again, but... hopefully she won't mind too much and we'll be out of her hair by tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning, hopefully, I might catch a (really expensive) cab out to Autobahn on the west side of Akron to get the Volvo. In the afternoon, when I pick up Amy, we'll probably be able to go get Pedro. Then, we'll be back to something somewhat close to normal.
Hopefully...

Actually it was only a half hour drive from Kent to the volvo but we would have had to have waited for a cab and then there was no time. Oh well, stupid not having a car!
