If Only I Had the Time...

Today was a pretty decent day, I think. I did basically nothing for most of the day after waking up very early on a day I could have slept in. We had two meetings for people to adopt puppies (both of which were successful, and now Dakota and Fargo have homes!). Amy went to some church singing thing between the two, which just was not the least bit appealing to me. Instead, I stayed home and finally reached "Pro" level for Wii Sports Tennis. We also hit a hockey game at Kent, after which I finally reached "Pro" level for Wii Sports Bowling. Baseball, Golf and Boxing all have a long way to go.
We want to buy some more games for the Wii but we are generally broke. Kory and Amy rented us Rayman's Rabids and Monkeyball, but those had to go back tonight. We want to get our hands on the truck racing game, the Tony Hawk, the Wario, and the Madden, as well as the other titles we've already tried. Time will come.

I guess something I conveniently forgot to mention was the two hours while Amy was at the church thing that I spend watching "Antiques Roadshow." I don't call things guilty pleasures because I feel like owning up to my embarrassing habits, but this is one that would fit that category if I so used it.

The stuff I added to the iBook with financial aid has proven to be quite fun. I had maxed my hard drive and the performance was suffering due to a low amount of memory. I upgraded the memory and bought an external 250gb hard drive. Now, since I moved a significant portion of my 28gb of music (I've left the 9gb of music I listen to most) and the 5gb of various pictures to the external storage, I've got a ton of room on this baby.

A couple of years ago with financial aid, we bought a little Panasonic MiniDV camcorder, which is like more awesome than anything I should own. But, two years ago, we got a killer deal on it, and the same model still sells online used for more than what we paid for it back then.

Putting my newfound hard drive space together, this under-utilized but super-nice camcorder with the pirate copy of FinalCut Pro so nicely provided for us by my dad, we've started uploading some puppy videos to the computer. I haven't figured out how to use FinalCut completely (since it's like industry standard video editing and shit) but I have big dreams.

Maybe a video blog eventually?

Probably not.

But, I've got all of the ingredients now to make things like that happen.

If only I had the time...

I am thinking that our trip to San Francisco may be a documentary subject. I also had considered making one on Kent's club hockey team, since they're playing for glory only, not even scholarships.

None of these will ever happen. If I would actually see like 35% of my ideas through, I'd be famous and the world would be a better place for my accomplishments. Unfortunately, I only see about 0.2% of my ideas to fruition.

I suck.
