First of all, a requested note: apparently Kory and Amy didn't suggest "Desperate Housewives" either? I don't know. It's all hearsay, which, incidentally enough, is not admissable.
Amy and I had a conversation about marijuana tonight. I'm not sure why. Her main problem with it is that marijuana is illegal, which is also my main problem with marijuana. I suggested to her that we should visit The Netherlands on our next vacation.
And tonight, we finished the second season of "Six Feet Under," our new obsession. We started watching the series about a week ago. That means we've viewed 26 hour-long episodes, almost like a part-time job. I guess I used the word obsession on purpose.
Rumor has it (again, hearsay, but this time a collaboration from a rectal thermometer reading and a bunch of websites on "whelping") that the time is near for Maggie to give birth. Her temperature is around 99 degrees, which is very low for a dog and expected within 24 hours of labor. She also has the other symptoms of grumpyness, lactaction, a hanging-out pussy, and a tummy that seems to grow by the hour. We're keeping a vigil tonight. I'll be heading down around 2:30 to check on her, and Amy's got an alarm set for 4:30. Then, hopefully, one of us will be up around 7:00 to check again.
We may soon be grandparents.
