Jack-O-Lanterns, Hailstorms and Chili-Dogs

My stomach feels like shit. I don't know why, or what, but something isn't agreeing with me. It's probably the Mexican food we ate after Amy got finished with church earlier. I ate cheese and sour cream in large amounts, and I don't think it was right for me. Amy said that she read somewhere that being off of milk products for a while makes people lactose-intolerant. Maybe that's it?

I forgot to mention a couple of events in yesterday's post. For one, we got a freak hail storm yesterday. It seemed really unlikely to be hail (and more likely sleet), but it had to be hail. It came during a thunderstorm, and the air temperature was nearly 50 degrees, so it must've been hail. It was weird, though, because it fell for half-an-hour and accumulated on the ground. Most of it was pea to marble sized hail.

The other event from yesterday was our stop at Main Street Coney's in Kent. Main Street Coney's is great, because they have vegetarian chili on the weekends, and they have not-dogs. They're great, and the fries are really the best ever. I don't think the fries or the buns are vegan, but they're vegetarian and delicious and they're cheap and made by someone else, and that's good enough for me. I think this may become a weekend tradition.

The other thing to mention is the Jack-O-Lanterns that Amy and I made. I've got a gallery up on theshears.com with pictures of the Jack-O-Lanterns and the hail from the freak storm.

Here's my Jack-O-Lantern, which I think is sufficiently happy for all of us...

If you want to see Amy's which is not as happy as mine, go to the gallery.
