I'm getting kind of sick of the rain. I know I was spoiled by an unusually sunny spring thus far, but four days of rain has sucked. We got used to doing things outside, like cooking, hiking, biking, going to the park, etc. With this rain, much of our cheap entertainment is completely gone. Tomorrow is predicted to be more of the same. Too bad, because I wanted to go biking in the national park again. That was great fun last Sunday.
Otherwise, today was uneventful. I went to Amy's work for a while intending to install pirated productivity software on her new computer. With her big promotion, she's been easing into more of an office-based situation, which includes a new-to-her (and not terribly bad) computer. Unfortunately, the shelter maintenence man had done something so it wouldn't start up today... no dice on the software. Instead, I held and talked to critters for a couple hours while Amy tended them. There are about six litters of little tiny kittens there right now. Super cute.
Oooh, I also went to the grocery today. Since the month's money is coming in, I went to the grocery and went a little crazy. ACME was having one hell of a sale, so we have a full fridge, freezer and cupboard. We've got stuff that should last us most of the month, not including the necessary replenishing of fresh things like bread, milk, fruit and lunchmeat in about two weeks. It felt good to have enough money to really buy groceries that we needed.
Now, where do I sign to become the proud owner of the Dodge Caravan which has a back window covered with soccer emblems featuring the names of my kids?
Funny thing is, after moving all of those groceries (a heaping cart of liquid items and cans) into Pedro, then taking about 50 trips to move them into the house, then putting everything away, I was pooped. Amy was too, when she came home. Despite all of these groceries, we ate White Castle tonight. And since the only White Castle in the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area is a Rally's-type set up, I got soaked.
Fuckin' rain.
If it was a little bit warmer rain, I'd be fine with going for a bike ride tomorrow. There won't be as much of a crowd on the trail....
Enough of all of this. I'm going to record my current playlist for posterity.
