Kentucky rejected me today!!!!!!
It FINALLY came in the mail.
It FINALLY came in the mail.
Not that I think that Kentucky was a bad school, nor were the people bad, nor was the program bad.....
I'm just happy to hear something from their sorry procrastinating asses. And frankly, they were sorta my third choice anyway, especially after the graduate coordinator basically took a dump on my GRE scores right in front of me. Fuck them, certainly now more than ever. But.... thanks for FINALLY writing. No, really.... I was sick of waiting for a response.
I'm sitting in my Friday Web design class now, and my students are diligently working on creating a Website for a business that I created. I think they're actually having fun at it, too, which is a plus. Sometimes I wonder about these kids, since they just seem to hate being in class. True, it's a Friday night which is admittedly rough, but that shouldn't make them completely non-functional.
I guess it's pretty obvious that my thesis has hit another funk since I've blogged now like three times in the past four days. That always seems to happen when I'm avoiding working on my thesis. This weekend, I'm planning to finish the paper on the Grand Forks flood for hazards class, and I'm hoping to get the methodology thoroughly roughed out. This would be good, although my Literature Review hasn't come back yet. I'd like to have it back, because I'd like to know if it's good enough or not. But... we'll see. I've got about four weeks to write three papers for hazards class and to get my thesis as completed as possible before we head to Atlanta to chaperone the Burris trip. I've been around these past few months, I guess.....

In the past year, we've....
- Driven to Brown County, Indiana on our honeymoon.
- Driven out west to Colorado, Utah, Vegas, Arizona and back during the summer.
- Driven up to Frankenmuth, Michigan for Oktoberfest.
- Drove on day trips to Madison, Indiana and South Bend, Indiana with the Ball State Geography of Indiana class.
- Driven to Lawrence, Kansas to visit the school (fuck them, too!)
- Driven to Kent, Ohio to visit the school (still hoping) with a stop at Toledo to buy Sancha.
- Driven to Lexington, Kentucky to visit the school (fuck them.)
- Driven to Galveston, Texas to hit a cruise ship with my parents.
- Taken a cruise to Mexico and Belize.
- Driven to Cincinnati, Ohio to visit the zoo.
- Flown to Denver, Colorado to go to AAG.
- Countless trips to Indianapolis to visit Amy's parents.
Now, we've got plans to fly to Atlanta to chaparone these kids, and my parents are discussing going to Washington DC for summer! Of course, we're moving in July... somewhere.... but....
Time will tell.
Drama in the Web design class!!! It's like reality television!
I've assigned them a group project, and they each have their jobs... and the whole firm almost went down in flames.... arguments over this, and over that.... and they've been actively working on the site for about an hour.
