My grades for the semester:
GEOG 695, which was the revision of the Indiana book's text: A.
GEOG 630, which was a cartography seminar and revision of the Indiana book's graphics: A.
GEOG 698, an independent study on Appalachian known in these pages as the Grandma Eldridge project: A.
That only leaves... GEOG 321. I ended up basically running the table on the exam and the final project, which means I had an 89.3%. No shit. The prof, Slack, rounds up from 89.5. I don't know what I'll be getting in that. I'm hoping for an A. If not, I get a B. He doesn't do plus/minus like the rest of campus. PLEASE A. Again, if not, it doesn't do anything to my grad GPA, which is now 3.741. Not bad. But, an A in 321 would mean straight As.
Last night, Amy and I went to Indy to get dinner, shop, and walk around to see the lights. It was nice to get away to a real city where there were real things happening. We were hit up for change only once during our downtown wanderings! It was very nice and relaxing to get away. We also stopped at Castleton and purchased gifts for Tim and Amy's parents. A productive day.
On the way back, we stopped and hung out with her parents for a bit before returning home.
Now, she's about to come home from work, and I'm watching McGyver... the show that certainly begs a question: Was there, in the history of television, an actor in a lead role with a more serious mullet than what Richard Dean Anderson sported? I can't imagine it was easy to take the show seriously when it was originally on.
Today's agenda is to purchase some picture frames, print some wedding pictures for family members to go into those frames, and pick up a couple gift certificates for my parents. Then, our shopping is done for everyone except each other. I also plan to complete my statements of intent today, so that tomorrow I can pick up some transcripts with my new grades and send in my applications. Then, I'm done with that step and can concentrate on my Indiana book designs. I'm looking forward to that project.
Heheh... McGyver just ended, and now some show called "Hunter" is on, during the introduction of which the characters are chasing bad guys in a Dodge Daytona.
Weather forecasts are calling for anywhere from 2-4 to 8-12 inches of snow tonight. I'm hoping for the latter. That'd be fun.
