I'm going to try to make this quick like flint. Not the like the city or the rock... it's an old person saying!
Anyway, I've gotten my schedule from Ivy Tech for teaching next semester. While I wasn't lucky enough to get a geography class, I've been assigned FOUR design classes! Score one for Amy and I. True, it means I'll be working four nights a week, but the income is simply too good to pass up. $1360 a month, TAKE HOME on top of my job at Ball State. I'll be able to provide for us, and anything Amy makes is milk.
I also finished the revisions on the Indiana text, or at least as far as I am going to get. I'm hoping to get an easy A out of that. I turned those in today to Dr. Schwartz, and he says I'm going to get some feedback after break. That's fine, I don't have time to deal with feedback right now anyway.
I still have to complete the Grandma Eldridge project for tomorrow so that I can get a grade for it on my transcript. This is important because I can't have an incomplete when I send away my applications for PhD school. So, I'm going to make sure I have something to turn in for tomorrow, and that's what I'm avoiding doing right now.
My kids are working on their finals at Anderson. I have their grades ready on a spreadsheet so that I can just plug in their final grades and submit their grades for their report card. I rule. Now, I'm just waiting... waiting...
I'm about to go out to the car to get my Grandma Eldridge gear to work on it. I thought they'd surely be done by now. No one is, yet. Ugh.
I'm soooooo close. Just Grandma Eldridge and an urban final on Saturday, and that's it. I kind of need to run the table in Urban to get an A. I think I will manage that, though my Friday night will be shot. Then, after that, Amy's told me I need to take a few days off. I will be taking one day off, Sunday, and the completing my PhD applications on Monday. Then Tuesday through Christmas will be spent finishing the book design. Then, if I can get that done, then I can make up some lesson plans and some things like that for my Ivy Tech classes. If I can do that, then I can get some thesis data downloaded.... Then, and only then, I can rest for the remainder of break.
Some break!
I'm gonna quit there, because I think my first student is almost done. Damnit, I won't get any Grandma Eldridge worktime.
Shit.
