Basemaps for Dummies.

No, it's not a new book on geography that I'm writing.... though it would be a pretty killer title for a cheater's guide to cartography....

It's Not What You Expect... It's Something Much Much Worse!

No, not really.  It's been a while since I've blogged... what, ten days or so?

A New Survey...

Maybe this will be an Ivy Tech worktime tradition?

This is the one I got in the mail yesterday.

It's Starting to Get Fixed

Luckily, Amy's employer is a good person. He's given us cash to take care of the hundreds of dollars in overage fees that his bounced check has caused our account. He still owes us 90 (I think), but shit... it's a good start. Both of our accounts are above the red again, and that's good enough for now. Uncle Monte is a good fair man. I wish the world of business had more like him.

Death of a Punk

What I'm about to write may offend... oh... two-thirds of my readership. So be it. The time has come.

This punk is dead.

Raped in the Ass.

Despite the fact that we've been very successful in managing our money, Amy's paycheck bounced and everything went right in the shitter, to the tune of $200 in total overdraft fees. No matter what we do right, we get fucked. Amy's boss is supposed to be working on getting this all fixed, and he is a good man, so hopefully he does get it fixed. It's just like that with our money, though. Doesn't matter how well we do with our money, it's gone. I just hope it gets fixed.

Survey in the E-Mail... Ugh.

I got this survey the other day from my high school class email list. I continue to be unsure why, exactly.

Spring Break When the Leaves are Falling...

My parents are trying to plan a spring break trip. More than likely, it will be the last hurrah of the annual spring break trip tradition, as Amy and I are moving somewhere in July. We're obviously not sure yet.

So Close to the Weekend!

Today is Amy's birthday.  I sent her 22 red roses while she was at work. It smacked her in the face like a cold fish. She liked it just a little, and she was in tears to see me go to work tonight. But, I have to teach the kids, you know? I think I could get in big trouble if not. I really wish I could've stayed home with Amy tonight and snuggled and watched TV and all of that, but it wasn't in the cards. I can't just miss class at Ivy Tech, unfortunately. I'm getting old and grown up.
